The Hippy Markets

When you are on the island you really should visit one of the ‘hippy’ markets. We have selected four fun markets for you to explore.

 

Las Dalias Hippy Market

Sant Carlos

The most famous hippy market on the island. You’ll find lots of stalls to buy jewels, clothes, accessories and much more. For ladies probably a dream come true to shop here, for the men just go to the area where the dj is playing and order a drink to enjoy yourself.
Opening hours:
Every Saturday from 10.00am7.00pm. In peak season also on Monday (June-Sept) and Tuesday (July& August) night from 7.00-11.00pm

San Joan market

San Joan de Labritja

Every Sunday morning year round this little village turns into a hippy gathering with live music and stalls. The market is surrounded by the charming white houses and church, where locals also love do their shopping. Great place to visit on Sunday morning. To continue the hippy vibe you can head over to Benirras beach for the beating of drums every Sunday afternoon.

Hippy market Punta Arabi

Es Canar

This is the biggest and oldest hippy market of the island. Expect a lot of stalls, some live music, not far from the sea. And if you have always wanted to feel like a hippy, dress up at the entrance and take a picture.

A weekly local market on the high street without the hippy vibe, but with island people selling locally elaborated, organic and local products. On Saturdays from June till October from 9.30 am-1.30 pm
