The current situation in Spain – at last there is positive news
Coronavirus is thankfully nearly gone in Ibiza & Formentera. There are only 21 active cases and there has only been one new transmission in the last week. Ibiza entered phase 2 of the de-escalation on May 25th and is set to enter the final phase (phase 3) on June 8th . Formentera is already in phase 3. Shops and bars were allowed to open from May 11th at limited capacity. Spanish citizens will be allowed free movement from province to province within Spain from June 22nd so domestic flights will start again in greater numbers and normality will return.
The Spanish president, Pedro Sanchez, announced on May 24th that Spain will be welcoming tourists from July 1st . This is very positive news for the Spanish tourist sector and for those tourists that want to enjoy a holiday in Spain this summer. International flights into Ibiza will start in much greater numbers from July 1st.. Ryanair, Easyjet, Eurowings, Vueling, Condor and, Transavia have all announced they will be flying to Ibiza by July 1st if not earlier.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Ibiza
After nearly three months of uncertainty and worry for all of us we are very excited to be returning to normal duty. Now we have the news that from July 1st EU citizens, and UK citizens, can arrive in Spain to enjoy their holidays as planned. We are now busy taking bookings once again and we are offering flexible booking terms to take account of the present issues. We can’t wait to see you out here!
When the island opens up to visitors from July 1st it will be an amazing time to come here
Ibiza is preparing itself for the first tourists with huge excitement. It will be an amazing place to spend a holiday this summer and will give you a unique experience. The island will be emptier than normal; tranquil, beautiful and natural. Really more like Ibiza was in the 1960s or 1970s. It is likely that the airlines will be flying with less planes as many large hotels will remain shut. We are waiting for official announcements but it is likely that the large discos might stay closed but beaches, restaurants and bars will be open. The island will be very special indeed and a villa holiday will present the perfect way to enjoy it due to the privacy, safety and intimacy the guest can enjoy. Additionally we can provide some great services at the villa to make a stay even more enjoyable; private chefs, massage & beauty treatments, yoga & fitness to name but a few.
April, May and June bookings
Unfortunately all bookings during these months have been cancelled. We are in contact with all guests with these bookings and discussing their options for delaying their holiday until 2021.
Villa cleaning and hygiene
When guests get to the island for their holidays their health, and that of our team, will be the priority. Our villas are always very well cleaned and prepared for your arrival but we are preparing a protocol for extra deep cleaning on guest change over days. All our staff working in and servicing the villas, and any sub-contractors, will be given Coronavirus hygiene guidelines. The commercial laundries we use for linen and towel washing follow strict standards.
We truly hope you and your family stay healthy in the following weeks and that we will be seeing you this summer in Ibiza.
