Great news – Ibiza is open to tourists!
As of June 21st Spain was officially open for tourists arriving from the EU and the UK . There is no quarantine imposed on arriving tourists. Ibiza has left phase 3 of the quarantine and entered the ‘new normality’. Restaurants, bars and shops are open.
What rules are in place to reduce the risks of a new contagion?
Social distancing should still be respected and the wearing of face masks is still obligatory when social distancing is not possible – for example in shops and supermarkets. Restaurant terraces are open at near full capacity and inside areas at 50%. It is not necessary to wear face masks in restaurants or bars when sat at you table nor in open air areas like the beach. For a guest staying in a private villa therefore the impacts on your holiday are very limited but the rules must be followed to protect both visitors, workers and locals alike.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Ibiza
After nearly three months of uncertainty and worry for all of us we are very excited to be returning to normal duty. Now we have the news that from July 1st EU citizens, and UK citizens, can arrive in Spain to enjoy their holidays as planned. We are now busy taking bookings once again and we are offering flexible booking terms to take account of the present issues. We can’t wait to see you out here!
When the island opens up to visitors from June 21st it will be an amazing time to come here
Ibiza is preparing itself for the first tourists with huge excitement. It will be an amazing place to spend a holiday this summer and will give you a unique experience. The island will be emptier than normal; tranquil, beautiful and natural. Really more like Ibiza was in the 1960s or 1970s. It is likely that the airlines will be flying with less planes as many large hotels will remain shut. Sadly the large nightclubs will not open this summer but restaurants and bars are all open. The island will be very special indeed and a villa holiday will present the perfect way to enjoy it due to the privacy, safety and intimacy the guest can enjoy. Additionally we can provide some great services at the villa to make a stay even more enjoyable; private chefs, massage & beauty treatments, yoga & fitness to name but a few.
Villa cleaning and hygiene
When guests get to the island for their holidays their health, and that of our team, will be the priority. Our villas are always very well cleaned and prepared for your arrival but we are preparing a protocol for extra deep cleaning on guest change over days. All our staff working in and servicing the villas, and any sub-contractors, will be given Coronavirus hygiene guidelines. The commercial laundries we use for linen and towel washing follow strict standards.
We truly hope you and your family stay healthy in the following weeks and that we will be seeing you this summer in Ibiza.
