WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL

When: 1st of May
Where: Las Dalias Hippie Market
About: The timeless Woodstock Festival turns 50 years old this year and the iconic Las Dalias hippy market will pay tribute to it with a mega celebration. On two separate stages, 17 local musicians will be paying homage to the great bands that took part in the summer of 1969. The brilliant music of Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, amongst others, will come alive for the event. The festivities kick off at 12:00 noon at the multicultural venue with a wide variety of activities, exhibitions, musical tributes, and street food trucks.

MEDIEVAL FAIR

When: 9-12 May
Where: Dalt Villa
About: The Medieval Fair really is an unmissable event in Ibiza’s spring calendar. The narrow and cobbled street of Ibiza old town, Dalt Vila, are transformed to celebrate the island’s rich history. Enjoy markets, crafts, animals, food, drink, musicians, shows, jugglers, falconry, and entertainment from the time when three religious groups from different ethnic backgrounds all lived in harmony on the island.

IMS – INTERNATIONAL MUSIC SUMMIT

When: 22-24 of May
Where: Hard Rock Hotel
About: A highlight in the Ibiza season calendar, IMS (International Music Summit) is held every year in spring. This music business conference aims to serve as a platform for integral debate and discussion, leading the way in education, inspiration, and motivation within the electronic music industry. Some topics that will be addressed this year are gender diversity in the music industry by Andreea Magdalina, a global network of female music leaders and Avicii’s father Klas Bergling will lead the panel about working with the field of mental illness and suicide prevention.
