ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM IBIZA

Located in the old town of Ibiza, the Archeological Museum has one of the most comprehensive and beautifully curated collections of the history of Ibiza and Formentera. The permanent exhibition displays objects covering more than 3,000 years of history and is divided into the following sections: Prehistoric, Phoenician, Punic, Roman and Islamic.

MUSEUM OF PUIG DES MOLINS & NECROPOLIS

Puig des Molins is the best-preserved necropolis in the Mediterranean, housing up to 4,000 tombs. Next to the Necropolis sits the Museum dedicated to the concept of the funeral and the associated rites of Phoenician, Punic and Roman cultures. The collection allows to discover and learn about the tight relationship among art, culture and death in the Phoenician and Punic cultures.

ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM OF IBIZA 

Located in Santa Eulalia, this museum aims to preserve the typical elements of the island’s rural life. It’s hosted in a traditional Casa Payesa, named Can Ros. Here visitors can get a peek at what rural life was like. Apart from the structure of the house, the visitors can check out utensils, farming equipment, typical dresses as well as jewellery and musical instruments of the past.

MADINA YABISA

This museum is hosted in one of the oldest houses in Dalt Vila, Casa de La Cúria. The house was built around the old Andalusian wall and shows, by using modern audio-visual technology, Ibiza town when it was a medieval Muslim town called Madina Yabisa, an important Muslim city during the Middle Ages.
