  1. The Most Famous Ibizan Architects You Need to Know

Ibiza enjoys a distinctive architecture – whether is traditional or modern. Just close your eyes and the first image that comes up in your mind is the island dotted with whitewashed rustic fincas surrounded by farmland or the most modern, sleek and chic newbuilt villas.

Through all our years working in property development we had the pleasure to work with some renown local architects of Ibiza. Here’s a list of them:

Rolph Blakstad is a Canadian architect who studied art and architecture in Italy. In 1956 he moved permanently to Ibiza where he founded the Blakstad Design Consultants. The company has grown through out the years to become one of the island’s most well-respected design brand. They are committed to preserving the ancient traditions in which Ibiza’s architecture is steeped, keeping all the charming of traditional farmhouses but adapting it to modern functionality. Check out his work with our country villa Can Cantó.

Jaime Romano is the founder of Romano Arquitectos, an architecture and interior design studio born in 1992. Until 2004, the studio focused mostly on developing projects in Ibiza, they then expanded to South Arabia, Tunisia, Angola, Barbados and much more. They like to renovate and always doing it with an innovative eye to build homes that reveal themselves. Fusing the border between what is man-made and what is natural to provide visual continuity. Check out his work with our villas Can Frit, Can Vildas and Can Ras.

Jaime Serra is leading the architecture studio Atlant del Vent. Crisp and modern lines, the enhancement of natural lighting and the harmonious balance with the surrounding environment are the key factors of the concept of this studio. Jaime Serra doesn’t like “patchwork architecture”, the one that mixes materials too much, that’s why the natural and minimalist look is achieved with 3 key materials, concrete, wood, and steel. Big windows that open up and space and let the sunlight comes in but without forgetting the importance of functionality. Check out his work with our Villa Sky.

Choosing holiday accommodation can be very time-consuming. With a huge array of accommodation options in Ibiza, it’s hard to know where to stay. Knowing what you want is key to narrow down your choices, is location on your top list or is seclusion the key factor for you?

Here’s a simple breakdown to help you pick the right villa for your Ibiza holiday:

You need to determine the location of your accommodation versus the areas that you are likely to visit during your stay. It would be better if the accommodation you pick is near the places that you would like to visit.

If you are keen on stay on the buzzing West coast then Villa Sandia or Can Coco are the right choices for you.

If you would like to stay in the heart of the island, then Can Canto is the right accommodation for you. This beautiful reformed finca kept all the charm of the traditional countryside home of Ibiza. Can Frit is another stylish original finca located in the quiet countryside.

In the South, you can pick Can La Pi, Villa Orion in the exclusive area of Es Cubells or Can Yondal which is located only a short drive from the trendy beach of Cala Jondal.

Whether you are traveling with your family or a large group of friends you need to choose the right accommodation for your needs. For families on holiday in Ibiza, a smaller villa is a good option because it offers a more intimate space. While for large group of friends, big villas are a good options as you can stay all in one place and make the most of your time together.

Not all the holiday rental companies offer additional service. But here in Mi Casa Tu Casa, we’re driven by the desire to deliver exceptional holidays. We understand that little things can make a big holiday and that’s why we provide additional services to complement your stay in our villas.

What are the benefits of booking one of our holiday villa with a heated swimming pool?

If you are planning your Ibiza holiday in March, April or in October and November you can be sure that you can enjoy the swimming pool also during this “colder” months. Even when the temperature is on the chilly side outside, a pool that is heated can still be enjoyed to the maximum.

How many times have you had to tell the kids to wait until the sun comes up and the water gets warm before they can go in the pool? With a heated pool you can take a dip at any time of the day and don’t have to wait for the sun to be soaring overhead, meaning the children can enjoy splashing about early in the morning and the adults can enjoy a relaxing dip at sunset!
