Ibiza is a destination that gets more quiet during the winter time, the sky remain bright blue and sunny while the nights turn crisp and cold. From embracing all things Christmassy, to warming up with the delicious Salsa de Nadal, here are the best things to see and do this winter in Ibiza.

SHOP AT THE CHRISTMAS MARKETS
Get ready for those Christmas markets in real Ibiza style where stalls sell everything from handmade christmas decorations, to eccentric clothes and funny glasses. Ibiza’s best Christmas Markets are held in Las Dalias and Casa Maca. Las Dalias will be open every day from mid-December and hold special events, while Casa Maca will host its one-off artisanal and local produce Christmas Market on the weekend 14-15 & 21-22.

CINEPHILIA
Winter is the perfect time to enjoy some classic movies or catch up on some unique Spanish film. Zinetic Cinema offers great films in their original language in the beautiful setting of the historic cinema of San Antonio, Cine Regio. Movie lovers can also dig into some great classic movies every Tuesday at the Cineforum held at the University of Balearic Islands, events start at 6.30pm and are free.

WINTER SUNSHINE
One of the best things about Ibiza in the wintertime is just how less crowded it is than in the summer. Mile-long queues have vanished, restaurants have tables available on the same day, the beaches become a pleasant place to wander – it’s quite simply bliss.

ENJOY SOME LIVE MUSIC
Big clubs might be closing during winter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time while listening to some good music. Teatro Ibiza offers every night live music with both local and international artists. Malanga Café is another small typical Ibizan bar offering some cool jam sessions throughout the winter. If you are looking for a festive atmosphere, head over to the cultural space Can Ventonsa in Ibiza town on Saturday 14th December and enjoy the Christmas concert of the Ciutat d’Eivissa Symphony Band.
