Fiesta de San Joan
Taking place on June 23rd, the Fiesta de San Joan is one of Ibiza’s most magical celebrations, marking the summer solstice. The northern village of Sant Joan de Labritja becomes the focal point of festivities, with bonfires, fireworks, and traditional folk music filling the air. Locals and visitors jump over flames to purify their spirits and welcome new beginnings, making it a truly enchanting experience. Free entry, although San Joan gets incredibly busy and there is only really one road running through the village, so you need to have both your arrival and departure meticulously planned. And taxis can prove very challenging due to the access issues. Free event.

Fiesta de la Virgen del Carmen
On July 16th, Ibiza’s coastal communities honor the patron saint of fishermen and sailors, the Virgen del Carmen. The highlight of this religious and cultural celebration is a maritime procession, where a beautifully adorned statue of the Virgin is carried through the streets before being placed on a boat and paraded along the coast.
